Greek theatre is very black or white: Tragedy or comedy. Live or die. Love or hate. Kabuki was more... artistic. In Greek theatre the men wore masks. In Kabuki theatre the performers wore heavy makeup to define their characters.They both were performed by males (at one point).
I think I would have liked Greek theatre better, because it was so extreme it would have had my attention the whole time.

You're right about the Greek theater being so black and white. It shocked me because nowadays we have romantic-comedies and action-horrors so its as if any two or more categories can be mixed together.
